There is a comedian I think they call him Tatortot who made a joke one time about people tying themselves to trees and such during a hurricane, he made the point that it wasn't that the wind was blowing but what the wind was blowing, you know things like cars and such flying around. Well I tried to grab a door from the wind the other day and got a reminder of how strong that wind is when it slammed the door into my hand. Nothing is broken but it certainly is bruised really good.

We had a pretty awesome day yesterday as far as weather was concerned too, we had what they were calling a weather bomb. Apparently there was thunder and lightening early in the morning followed by rain, then hail, then snow and finally some serious sunshine. Apparently the worst of the weather hit Nova Scotia, PEI and Norther NB not sure how southern NB managed to miss all the excitement but I'm not complaining either.

This morning we watched two deer grazing on the front lawn for about ten minutes. I never even thought to try and get a picture unfortunately. There were two squirrels playing in the maples out front as well. I love living here, we have had deer, moose, squirrels, skunks, raccoons, foxes, rabbits, snakes and bears on our lawn at different times. The moose was actually checking out the compost pile a couple weeks ago, wonder if he found anything tasty.

Today I saw a video on pinterest about waterfall braids and of course I tried in on little punkin's hair. I don't think it works quite the same with curly hair but it certainly is interesting looking. A couple hours late she had most of the 'waterfall' parts pulled out of it. I put a french braid in it awhile ago and it was really adorable looking. She had a hard time staying still for this so one side looked decidedly better than the other. This video does a really great job of explaining how to do it if you are interested.
